How To Register Warranty

The only warranty that needs to be registered is the Limited Warranty for Hydro-Block. The standard manufacturer warranty comes active with all purchases from CMM. To register your limited warranty, it must be completed within 90-days of purchase by the original purchaser.

Standard Manufacturer Warranty (1-Year)

Our Standard Manufacturer Warranty guarantees the quality of our products. In the rare event that you encounter a defective product within the first year of purchase, we've got you covered. We will promptly replace the faulty product or warrant a credit of equal value. This warranty is a testament to our commitment to providing you with products you can trust.

Standard Warranty | 1-Year

Applies to all products | Full replacement of defective products within the first year of purchase.

Applies to Hydro-Block | Full replacement of defect products + removal and replacement of flooring systems damaged by moisture emissions.

What the Limited Warranty Covers

The Limited Warranty for Hydro-Block goes beyond simply replacing defective products. It offers added peace of mind by covering any damage to finished flooring systems resulting from moisture emissions caused by a defective Hydro-Block product. In such an unfortunate event, we will not only replace all defective Hydro-Block products but also cover the costs associated with the removal and replacement of the affected finished flooring system.

Eligibility for the Limited Warranty

To be eligible for the Limited Warranty, it is imperative that all requirements are met. Among those requirements, it is required that Hydro-Block is applied and installed by a company that holds a Class A or Class B - CMM Installation Certification. This certification ensures that your Hydro-Block installation is carried out by trained professionals, guaranteeing the effectiveness of the product and ensuring the full benefits of our Limited Warranty.

What does the Hydro-Block 25 Year Warranty cover?

This industry leading warranty covers manufacturing defects leading to moisture emissions that damage the finished flooring system. In the case this occurs, CMM will replace the defective product and cover reasonable labor and material expenses for removing and replacing the damaged flooring system.

Who is eligible for the Hydro-Block Warranty?

The warranty is exclusively applicable to the Original Purchaser of the Hydro-Block Sealer product, non-transferable and non-assignable. The Original Purchaser refers to any individual or entity who owns the property where the Hydro-Block Sealer product is applied and who either (a) purchases the product directly from CMM themselves, or (b) instructs or permits another party to purchase the product directly from CMM on their behalf.

How long does the warranty last?

The warranty remains in effect for 25 years from the original purchase date. The warranty must be registered within 90-days of the original purchase date. 

What are the conditions for the warranty to be valid?

Compliance with product specifications and safety data sheets, timely notification of defects, allowing CMM inspection of claimed defects, and adherence to warranty registration procedures.

How does one register for the warranty?

The Original Purchaser must complete and submit the Warranty Registration Form within 90 days of purchase. There are two options for registering, online and through the mail. You can find the registration form online by going HERE or you can mail in the completed form on the back of the warranty that came with your product. 

What if the product specifications are lost?

It’s the purchaser’s responsibility to obtain a copy from CMM or through their official website if the original is lost. You can find all the product documentation on the product page HERE

Will repairs or replacements extend the warranty period?

No, the performance of repairs or replacement under this warranty does not extend the duration of the warranty period.

What does the 1-Year Limited Warranty cover?

The warranty guarantees the product to be free from material defects under normal usage and conditions for one year from the original invoice date.

Who is responsible for shipping and handling fees for warranty claims?

The customer is responsible for shipping, handling, packaging, return postage, and insurance expenses related to the warranty claim.

How can a defective product be replaced under warranty?

The manufacturer may offer a replacement product of equal value free of charge, excluding shipping and handling costs, after verifying the defective product and confirming proof of purchase.

What are the warranty limitations?

The warranty does not provide any express warranties beyond what is specifically mentioned and disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, where permitted by law.

How long do implied warranties last in the United States?

For transactions within the United States, any implied warranties are limited to the duration of this express warranty.

What rights does the warranty provide?

This warranty grants specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

How does the warranty address incidental or consequential damages?

CMM shall not be liable for incidental, economic, special, or consequential damages.

What happens if a claim is made?

CMM must be notified within 30 days of defect discovery, and they reserve the right to inspect and test before authorizing repairs or replacements.

Can the warranty be transferred if the property is sold?

No, the warranty is non-transferable and only valid for the Original Purchaser.

What does the warranty exclude specifically?

It excludes damages due to inadequate maintenance, improper installation, and use of non-approved products with Hydro-Block Sealer.

How should claims be submitted?

What happens if the warranty procedures are not followed?

Failure to comply with warranty procedures, such as timely registration or notification of claims, may void the warranty. Installation of the product without a CMM Representative or Certified Installer will result in voiding your warranty. 

Is there a dispute resolution mechanism?

Yes, disputes under this warranty shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules.

Does the warranty cover consequential damages?

No, CMM shall not be liable for incidental, economic, special, or consequential damages.

How should warranty claims be filed?

Claims must be filed through the retailer from whom the product was purchased, who is responsible for contacting the manufacturer regarding warranty returns or replacements.

What is the procedure for claiming under warranty?

Claims for defective merchandise must be submitted within one year from the original invoice date. The item may need to be returned or inspected by a representative to verify the claim.

If the claim is justified, the item(s) will either be replaced or a credit will be issued.
